In Memoriam

May 4, 1953 - February 16, 2024

We are terribly sad to forward the news that Jay Forbes, 71, has Flown West.  We were notified by his wife, Annette, that he passed away unexpectantly yesterday morning, February 16th. Jay has been battling lung cancer for the past 5 years and has generally reacted positively to the therapy.  Unfortunately he had been suffering complications from a fall on ice earlier this year and was in the hospital under observation and testing for blood infection and a stroke.  Jay leaves behind his wife Annette, a son and daughter, and five grandchildren.

Jay was hired by Tigers on June 1979 and retired February 2016 as a B777 Captain.
