Terry L. Ermert

In Memoriam

July 11, 1943 - December 30, 2020

From Terry's twin brother, Eric Ermert, who also flew for the Flying Tiger Line.

As we were growing up, it was the end of WWII, then The Korean "police" action. All of which had pilots, pilot stories! So, from the age of two months, three days, the twins then decided to become pilots!  And that is what happened!

For me, I will always miss my twin, my friend, more than a brother, my fellow Pilot! The very best of the best! God speed Terry, God speed ...

From Valerie Thal-Slocum, Jan 8, 2020

One of my best memories about Terry, during a long Asia trip, Captain Terry, FO Charlie Gallegos and me, Terry complained that he wasn’t offered the women’s uniform cross tie that I was wearing.  I quickly offered to trade ties and he took me up on it and for the next 9 days he wore my cross tie for every flight!  He got some looks and a few comments, in ops, customs and amongst peers but he never wavered!
He was a character, but always a complete gentlemen to me.
You will be missed....
