In Memoriam...

September 14, 2018

Ruth E. Brennan (Orcutt) born on December 18, 1931, passed away at age 86 on September 14, 2018 in Yucca Valley, California.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Leslie, Son, Bryan, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She also leaves behind all the animals at the ranch. Ruth passed in her home surrounded by her family and animals.

In her younger years she was a stewardess with Flying Tigers in the 50's and early 60s. many years after leaving Tigers, she became a vet tech. Ruth devoted her life to rescuing animals. She was an adventurous soul who was able to travel the world. She told a story of sneaking a monkey named Coco onto a plane dressed as a baby. She met Coco and fell in love with him while living in the Amazon rain forest! She tried to smuggle him back with her but Coco got loose in the airplane ride home so she had to give him to the Oakland zoo!

Those who wish to send flowers may donate in Ruth's name to the McMillan Institute for the Arts-Arts & Animals Program. A celebration of life will be private.
