In Memoriam

May 16, 1958 - February 13, 2024

The following is from Dave Stratton, retired FTL/FDX Crew Scheduler who worked with Ron.

I’m saddened to report the sudden passing of Ron Blake who worked in crew scheduling both at FTL and FDX.  There are no details beyond this passage. I worked with Ron on team 4 at CRS before he transferred to Crew Planning so he could get off shift work.

He was born in Covina, CA to the late Ingeborg and Richard Blake. Ron enjoyed fishing, golfing, and his dogs. Ron came to Crew Scheduljng in 1987 at Flying Tigers then made the transition to Memphis in 1989 working in the FedEx Control Center in CRS transferring to crew planning in 2000 until he retired in 2021.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lynne Blake and his two sons. Ron will be cremated and his ashes will be spread over Lake Tahoe.
