In Memoriam...
Ed A. Lowe
06/27/1917- 05/09/2000
Ed was born and raised in Idaho. He graduated from the University of Idaho in 1940 and immediately joined the United States Air Corps as a cadet in flight training. He graduated from Kelley Field in Texas and, after receiving an honorable discharge, he was sent to South America to aid in an ongoing effort to remove the German airline from Latin America. The project was a success. He flew for Pan American Grace Airline for eight years and was based in Equador and Lima, Peru.
After returning to the United States he was hired by the Flying Tiger Line in August of 1950 and remained until his mandatory retirement in 1977.
Ed was residing in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho at the time of his death on May 9th, 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor and three sons; Ed of Seattle, Washington, Eric of San Luis Obispo, California and David of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
One grandson, Taylor of Coeur d'Alene, his beloved fishing partner.
