In Memoriam

March 17, 1939 - April 2, 2023

Dave received his Navigator license from a community school in Los Angeles and was initially employed by Flying Tigers in 1960 as a navigator on the Connie.  When navigators were phased out, Dave took advantage of a severance package offered by Tigers, used the money to start flight lessons, and was subsequently rehired as a pilot in November 1966.  He got to the left seat, was a B747 Captain based in LAX on T-Day, and continued on to fly for FedEx as a DC10 Captain until retiring in 1999.
