Sad news to hear about Al Grants passing. I am so very pleased that I was able to talk w/ him about one week ago. I watched Al over the years when he was a 2nd. Officer then move into the "right seat" then finally the "Left Seat". I had the pleasure to dhd many times on the B747's w/ Cpt Al in the "left seat", and also on his B747 flites over the many years when I was working as Loadmaster. My sincere condolances to his wife and family.

Al is going to be missed by all of us. From the T28 group he was with for years, those tigers who stopped by the "BALZ OUT" hangar in Reno, and those of us who flew with him at Tigers and FEDEX. I managed to visit at his home the day before he passed. Several of his old friends also made it and he will be greatly missed. Enjoy your trip west Al, may you always have tail winds and clear skys.
