MIKE HOWE We Had a cattle Charter from Minneapolis to Canton China. The flight stopped Anchorage and Narita Japan.
This is a view enroute and as you see the cows are loaded in large crates, it might look uncomfortable but they all survived the ride, not sure how well they enjoyed it., it is a much better and faster way to ship animals. Many animals shipped on long boat voyages don't survive.
Everything was pretty normal until we landed in Canton, then things were a little different. People were riding bicycles under the wings as we taxied in.

Every one in China must have a bike, they ride them everywhere including on the ramp next to the airplane

Also we noticed a whole line of small Chinese Army Trucks of a size that could hold about two Holstein cows each.

If you look in the background you can see a lone of small army trucks similar to the US duce and a half. The thing that then struck us is there are no large trucks, like our eighteen wheelers and all the cows would have to be herded into these small trucks which could only hold a couple of cows apiece
There seemed like an official for everything you could imagine and paperwork to go along with it.
The Handling agent there spoke English, so he had things lined up pretty good.

After the customs officials were satisfied the small trucks began to get ready to unload the passengers. As you can see they were going to be pushed two at a time into these small trucks and what amounted to a rodeo was about to began.

Most of the pallets were on the upper deck and would be unloaded through the nose
