Captain John (Woody) Woodward, born in 1921 was a veteran captain with The Flying Tiger Line from 1949 through 1981 when he retired. Woody was a B-25 pilot in the China-Burma-India (CBI) during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, and his son Jack Woodward, a pilot for Alaska Airlines.
