Captain Glen Richard Borchard

Born March 24, 1932 in Aberdeen, SD.

Died June 16, 2000 in Scottsdale, AZ.

Beloved Husband of Carol and dear father of Heidi Borchard and Liesl Bettencourt, and loving grandfather of Kyle and Tyler Bettencourt.

Brother of Harold, Albert (deceased), Robert, Orville, Lorna Miller (deceased) and Bernice Jensen.

 Glen attended grade school in Mansfield, SD and Warner High School in Warner, SD. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany and France from March 1953 to February 1955. After discharge, he graduated from Northrop Institute of Technology where he also received his private and commercial aviation licenses. He was employed by Flying Tigers for 25 years and flew worldwide. Glen loved to fly and ski and spent many vacations in the mountains of Saalbach, Austria where he was a tour guide. He also played golf and enjoyed computers. He will be missed by so many who enjoyed his ready smile and sense of humor.
